Not only can you enjoy a welcoming stay here, but also award-winning food. The acclaimed restaurant at the Advocate Arms has received two AA Rosettes in recognition of its top-quality cuisine. The Lincolnshire Wolds are tailor-made for camping. Low rolling hills, peaceful woodlands, flat grasslands, big skies – it all adds up to the ideal getaway in a tent, caravan or motorhome. Here is our top campsite pick close to Market Rasen:
Walesby Woodlands Caravan Park
We camped for three nights at Walesby Woodlands Caravan Park, a lovely spot just outside Market Rasen, right on the doorstep of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
As far as campsite settings go, this was one of the most pleasant we’ve experienced. The grounds are set on a large grassy space with ample room given to each pitch, and surrounded by rows of tall trees, providing both privacy and scenery.
The campsite is right next to the pathway of the Lindsey Trail, one of the most prominent walking routes in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Combine this with it being just a five-minute drive into Market Rasen and you’ve got a picture-perfect base for discovering the area. We’ll be back again for sure!
